Pastor Edlin Scott was born to the parentage of Elder Cynthia Miller, where his life revolved from a strong Christian heritage. As a child, he grew up in the quaint and tranquil island of Andros, The Bahamas with his grandmother Blooming McGregor, a God-fearing individual who thankfully instilled the same principles in him. She ensured that he always attended service and insisted that he recited a new bible verse each day. However, much to Mrs. McGregor’s advantage, God allowed her to see her grandson saved, delivered, and see him preach souls into the kingdom.
An administrator, entrepreneur, mentor, and Pastor; Edlin Scott began his call to ministry in 1985 when he became a member of The Voice of Deliverance Ministries under the able leadership of Apostle Leon Wallace, Senior Pastor and General Overseer. Pastor Scott began gracefully as the church bus driver, but because of his intense passion to have the will of God accomplished in his life, he obtained spiritual growth and therefore advanced to various levels within the body of Christ. He has served as a Deacon, Junior Minister, Youth Pastor, to date he is the Tent Manager, Administrative Manager for the Media Department, the Associate Pastor and Host Pastor of Morning Glory at The Voice of Deliverance Temple.
Pastor Edlin Scott, a man possessing a humble spirit firmly believes that you do not have to lead but be a part. This philosophy has been carried on throughout the years as he could be found working behind the scenes at the Temple patiently and humbly perfecting those things that would constitute to the overall success of the work of God.
Pastor Scott has witnessed the hand of God on numerous occasions through his many near-death experiences. Serving as the Apostle’s former chauffeur, he was involved in a life-threatening car accident. Additionally, while accompanying the Apostle on mission to the island of Andros, only minutes into the flight the airplane crashed. Based on the events that followed this would have been a very traumatic experience, however, God delivered them. While returning home from church he was held at gunpoint by a wanted fugitive. He then suffered an emotional loss, with the passing of his new bride of only 15 months to a heart attack. Yet, despite these challenges, God has made him a testimony so that others may know that God is real, and He is a deliverer and a keeper.
Pastor Scott is Marriage Officer, Justice of the Peace / Notary Public, a profound Preacher, and Teacher. In addition to the various hats that he has worn and still wears, he is the Proprietor of Almighty Computer and Accessories, which currently has three locations, and is the host pastor of Morning Glory which is held at the Temple at7:00am every Sunday morning. He is the creator and host of Phenomenal Leadership, a program which the Lord birth in his spirit during COVID-19. Additionally, in the year 2020 he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Leadership and Organizational Management from New Covenant University in St. Augustine Florida. Despite the many roles, Pastor Scott is never too busy to lend a listening ear or helping hand to those that are in need. He epitomizes a true servant of God as he gracefully sits at the feet of Apostle Leon Wallace, his spiritual father and mentor absorbing everything that is needed for his spiritual growth and advancement. In 2015 he was happily joined in holy matrimony to Min. Robertha Lindsay Scott.
